The CVV or CVC code is a group of 3 or 4 numbers located on the back of the credit card. This code is used as a security method in transactions in which the card is not physically present, such as purchases by telephone or the Internet. If you are looking to buy CVV online, you can easily get using many websites on the internet.

Usually, there are following two types which you can buy CVV online. Both are generated by the issued of a card at the time of issuance and are:

CVV Type 1:

This code is encrypted in the second track of the magnetic strip of the credit or debit card and is used for a transaction in which that card is physically present. When a card is inserted in the reader of the point of sale, that code value is obtained, that code is then sent to the issuer of that card that returns the authorization if this code is valid. The objective is to make sure that the credit or debit card is in the possession of that seller. The disadvantage is that if the card is completely copied and the magnetic strip has been duplicated, the VV1 is still valid. These digits correspond to the last 4 digits of the main numbers of the card.

CVV Type 2:

It is the code most frequently used by cardholders, as type 1 is read automatically and the owner is rarely aware of its use. This code is requested by the sellers in transactions in which the card is not present, these are transactions made by internet, telephone or another telematic route. In some countries, the seller is obliged to request this code for the transaction to be valid while in other countries it is optional.

Credit or debit card numbers: what do they mean?

If you are looking to buy CVV online, it is necessary to know about the numbers of Credit or Debit cards. Next, we will break down the code:

The first digit indicates what type of entity is the card issuer. As you can see in the following table, the bank cards we have will have as the first of the numbers 4 or 5. This first number of the credit or debit card not only details what type of entity is the issuer but also what is the payment company behind it, so if it starts with 4 it will be VISA and if it starts with 5 it will be Mastercard, while if it does with number 3 it will probably be American Express.
