Method 1: Checking Credit Card Balance (US & UK Cards Only)
- Verify your card's BIN (Bank Identification Number) using an online BIN lookup tool to identify the issuing bank. For example, BIN 430587 corresponds to Capital One, USA.
- Search for the bank's customer service phone number. For Capital One, the number is 800-935-9935.
- Call the bank's toll-free number using a service like Skype, which offers free calls to toll-free numbers.
- Follow the automated system's prompts, which may request details such as your credit card number (CCN) and CVV.
- Enter the requested information using your keyboard.
- The system will provide your credit card balance automatically.
Method 2: Verifying Card Status (Live or Dead)
- Create an account on the PlayStation website.
- Navigate to the payment methods section and attempt to add a new payment method using the credit card details, including accurate billing information.
- Submit the payment method for verification.
- Check the response: If the system displays an error message in red indicating invalid information, the card is likely inactive ("dead"). If the card is successfully added and marked in green, the card is active ("live").
